Silvia Piñera-Vazquez established the Piñera-Vazquez Law Firm in 2000 after a successful career as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Southern District of Florida. The Firm specializes in handling sensitive and complex matters in the criminal arena with an emphasis on personal attention, creativity, efficiency and common sense. Our commitment to high ethical standards places a strong emphasis on the attorney -client relationship and the confidentiality incumbent in such a relationship. Our goal is to provide premium and aggressive representation to clients during challenging times.
We are not a large law firm, nor do we measure our success by the number of attorneys we employ or the number of files we open. We offer clients individual attention, complete access and a team approach to solving sensitive issues. Our success is measured by the results we obtain for our clients and the level of trust they place in our abilities.
We concentrate on the defense of grand jury investigations, criminal indictments and regulatory matters in connection with banking, insurance, anti-trust, securities, money laundering, environmental, health care fraud, mortgage fraud and other types of fraud. We provide representation in all Federal and State courts at both the trial and appellate levels. We also provide legal services for cases involving public corruption, cross-border transactions and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. Through the years, the Firm has developed an expertise in representing clients in State court regarding DUI arrests, felony arrests and juvenile issues.
The firm also represents individuals and corporations in administrative enforcement hearings and other regulatory matters. We specialize in developing corporate compliance programs for a variety of business entities and conducting internal investigations.
Our overriding concern is that our clients receive the best possible legal representation and the full benefits of our legal system. We believe in the fundamental principles of the United States criminal justice system - the presumption that the accused is innocent and the burden is on the prosecution to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
